Community

There’s no such thing as a solitary Christian! Community is the principal place we grow in our discipleship journey to Jesus, and our lives are deepened and enriched as we share them together.
There are three ways you can be part of a community at BVC, with varying levels of commitment required. Most people who call BVC home are in at least one of these expressions, with some in all three!

  1. Huddles
Huddles are the easiest way to begin a journey of intentional community centred around discipleship to Jesus. A huddle comprises 2 - 4 people who connect weekly to share what God is doing, and how God is inviting them to grow. To find out more, you can download the brief for what Huddles are all about here.

  2. Up a Click
The ‘Up A Click’ community is one where people who desire to deepen their devotional life with Jesus gather to be held accountable in that pursuit. ‘Up a Click’ groups meet at cafes around the Bay in the morning before work:

Ladies - Wednesdays, Milk and Honey Cafe, Napier at 7am.

Men - Tuesdays, Sutto Cafe Hastings at 7am and Thursdays, Ahuriri Village Kitchen at 7am.

You can find out more by downloading the brief here.

  3. Home Churches
Home Churches are where people gather to learn the practices that help us live out our discipleship to Jesus. You can find these resources here.

Please send us a message here if you want to ask about any of these communities.
